Dr. Ahmadi-Montecalvo is an epidemiologist and social and behavioral scientist with extensive experience in the application and use of quantitative and qualitative methodology in behavioral health, maternal and child health, and social science broadly. Her research focuses on the social drivers of health and health inequities, with a particular interest in issues explaining factors within the social and built environment that affect the lives of vulnerable population groups. Dr. Ahmadi-Montecalvo is the Associate Vice President of Research and Evaluation at Unite Us, where she leads evaluation efforts to measure the value of social care investments.

She has over 20 years of experience in program evaluation, and social and behavioral health research working with local, state, and a number of federal government clients, including the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS); the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC); the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA); the National Institutes of Health (NIH); the Department of Labor (DoL); the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD); and the Veterans Health Administration (VHA).

Dr. Ahmadi-Montecalvo is an adjunct faculty at Milken Institute School of Public Health at George Washing University where she teaches public health and population health courses. She holds a Master’s of Public Health with a focus in Epidemiology and Community Health from Brown University, and a PhD in Social and Behavioral Sciences from West Virginia University, School of Public Health.

Jennifer Bright, MPA (she/her) is President, International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement (ICHOM), a nonprofit that works with patients and clinical experts worldwide to define and deploy standardized tools to measure health outcomes that matter to patients. Prior, she held executive roles at the Innovation and Value Initiative (IVI), focusing on advancing patient-centricity, transparency and equity in health technology assessment, at the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America, and Mental Health America.

Prior to founding InHealth, Jim was a partner with a national healthcare valuation firm, where he served as managing partner of the firm’s Colorado office. Jim previously served as the Director of Finance and Controller of a large academic medical center, where he led the financial analysis, planning, and operations functions for seven business units. He began his career serving with NASA as an engineer in the Space Shuttle and International Space Station programs. Jim earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Tennessee.

Jim offers InHealth’s clients guidance in designing provider integration models that ensure alignment with their organization’s operational and financial goals, as well as optimize the organization’s performance in value-based payment programs. Kathy Harris serves as the ACO Executive Director for Commonwealth Primary Care ACO, based in Phoenix, Arizona.  She has over 30 years of experience in various operational and leadership roles for Medicare and Medicaid managed care in the Arizona market. Prior to this role, Ms. Harris worked for several Medicare ACOs, including Equality Health Direct in the REACH model, and Banner Health. In 2012, she joined Banner Health as the Compliance Officer for Banner Health Network (BHN) before transitioning to the Medicare Accountable Care Organization (ACO) Program Director within the Insurance Division, leading the entity’s Pioneer ACO program. BHN was the most financially successful Pioneer ACO in the five years of this demonstration model. In 2018, her role further expanded to include MSSP Enhanced for BHN, MSSP for Banner Network Colorado (BNC), and MSSP for Banner Network Southern Arizona (BNSA), overseeing all voluntary and mandatory Alternative Payment Models (APMs) for the Banner system, and managing the relationships between the commercial payers and Banner Health Network.

Sameer joins HSG with experience working in federally qualified health center and community based organization environments. The iPN supported its many members in single signature payer contracting, IT/EHR and CQI implementation and support, quality performance reporting and analytics, care coordination and also provided a variety of MSO services to help improve practice financial performance and productivity. As a developing ACO in the Colorado market, it has negotiated and implemented several payer and employer agreements, with included shared savings and quality metrics integral to annual performance objectives.

He has over 40 years of experience in healthcare, serving as a COO and CEO in hospitals

in California, Oregon and Colorado. He previously served as President and CEO of Health Future, a consortium of 30+ hospitals and health care systems in Oregon, and also as the President for the VHA Mountain States region after his various hospital CEO positions. He consults nationally working with hospitals, physician groups and large employers for promoting healthier workforces and improving clinical, financial and managed care performance, with emphasis to new models of healthcare delivery and payment.

Dr. Duane F. Wisk is a double-board certified physician in Public Health and General Preventive Medicine, as well as Occupational Medicine. He is currently on staff at Holland Hospital, Holland, Michigan. He received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Michigan State University. He received his master’s degree in public health with an emphasis on Informatics from the University of Illinois Chicago. He is a fellow of the ACOEM, and a member of the American College of Preventive Medicine. He has been an actively practicing physician for 40 years. He has expertise in value-based medicine, quality assurance, patient safety, population health, public health, preventive medicine, emergency medicine, occupational medicine, toxicology, disability evaluation, worker's compensation injuries, and environmental health. He has been a national consultant in healthcare IT for over 30 years. He has been a researcher in value-based medicine, healthcare IT, quality, alternative delivery systems, and Transitions of Care. He is a retired Lt. Colonel and flight surgeon from the Air National Guard, where he served from 2003 until 2013. He is also currently an adjunct assistant professor of medicine at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine of Brown University in Transitions of Care.
